Biography

Krzysztof Kieślowski was a Polish screenwriter and director. He came to international attention with The Decalogue (1987 – 1989) and a series of TV films. Following these successes, he made The Double Life of Véronique, which won the Palme d’or, and the Three Colors trilogy, consisting of Blue (1993), which won several Césars, White (1994), winner of the Silver Bear in Berlin, and Red (1994), which was nominated for an Academy Award.
