I quite enjoyed the stylization of both actors, so for me, Aykroyd and Hanks carried the film well, which presents itself a bit like noir, and a bit like a modern crime story. But it's all presented as parody, or at least comedy with plenty of exaggeration. The story is a bit too simple, but that didn't bother me that much. ()
