Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn as a couple in a romantic comedy couldn't possibly go wrong. She's endearingly plainspoken (in the style of Barbra Streisand from What's Up, Doc?), while he famously cringes at each new lie of hers that he has to follow up with a fabrication of his own. And as it happens, there's more and more of everything, culminating in a big party. Very good. ()
