Il cielo cade

During World War II, a wealthy family takes in two orphaned girls, who become part of this slightly eccentric family despite their initial intense resentment. Yet the carefree summer idyll, full of children's games, does not last long. The head of the family, influential uncle Wilhelm, who successfully managed to hide his Jewish origin during the war, must now face a cruel reality which affects everybody in the household. The social drama by the directing duo of the Frazzi brothers strongly appeals for morality and against war, contrasting the innocent fantasy of a child and the horrors of war. (Febiofest)
