The Alexandria Ceremonial Orchestra arrives in Israel to play at the opening of the Arab Cultural Center. Dressed in full regalia, the members of the orchestra are looking forward to playing at what might be the most important venue of their careers. However, an unexpected turn of events leaves the Egyptian band stranded in a small Israeli desert town, leaving them in both a cultural and emotional dilemma. Not wanting the turn the orchestra away, Dina, a local café owner invites the men to stay with her and a few of her friends, leading to awkward tensions and revelations about life and reality that cross cultural boundaries.
