In 8th century Scandinavia, Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) is a warrior and a farmer who dreams of finding riches by bucking the tradition of raiding to the east. Ragnar has been working in secret on a project that will turn the Viking world on its head. Raw, dark, gritty, and already in the first episode,some of the characters are very interestingly sketched with unique traits. So far it's less ambitious than Game of Thrones, but it's true that the beginning is actually very similar. Plus for the strong female characters who lose none of their inner fragility and ability to form a household.

A solid introduction to the story and characters. I was never bored; there was always something happening. It’s clear that Lagertha is going to be the center of attention for all the Norsemen around. And honestly, I can’t blame them — Katheryn Winnick is stunning.
