If a movie stars a series of characters named Mono, Stereo, Analog and Radio, it’s easy to deduce that its images are going to pulsate with sound and music. Sure enough: Fonotune is a stylized pop experiment that depicts the journey of a bunch of lonely souls in a post-apocalyptic world, united by their desire to attend a concert offered by an enigmatic star, played by Seiji, a member of the garage punk group Guitar Wolf and Japanese underground hero.
