In Turin, one last bath house remains in existence, serving as a symbol of resistance. A meeting place where those at the edge of society get a chance to feel at home and experience a moment of intimacy while tending to their bodies. In the film, we meet some recurring visitors and hear their life stories, but also their thoughts on a society that constantly insists on excluding them. In spite of the hardships and prejudice they deal with, they show us that life is worth fighting for and that giving up is not an option. An incredibly beautiful and touching portrait of a microcosm that also has a lot to say about contemporary Italy from a macro perspective. Bath People is an ode to the invisible ones, an ode to resistance. (Göteborg Film Festival)
