Plots(1)
When a well known entertainer dies, his management team is not quite ready to disband, so they decide to find a replacement for him. In walks the bumbling bellhop Stanley Belt (Jerry Lewis) and suddenly they know they've found their man. They sign him to a contract and then try to turn this sitting duck into a beautiful swan. There's one hitch, however, Stanley has no talent. Regardless of that, the publicity wheels are set in motion and Stanley soon becomes a Hollywood sensation. Stanley is put to the test with his appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show," and manages to become a real star. (official distributor synopsis)
