The story takes place in 1953 in San Jacinto, Colombia. Dolores Salinas is a 60 years old woman who earns a living praying in the wakes and funerals of the dead members of the conservative party. She faces a strong conflict in her beliefs when she receives the body of his son, who has died in the same war but defending the ideals of liberal party, and she doesn’t know where to bury him.
