Émilie (2019) (E01)

English A solid first installment from France, offering a rather tense atmosphere with a case revolving around a terrorist attack in Paris four years ago that emotionally shook the world. The investigators clicked with me, and the case itself didn’t hit any snags in the script. Overall, I’m satisfied. 75%. ()

Caroline (2019) (E02)

English The second installment of this French miniseries once again surprised me, primarily with the acting performances. Laurent Lucas as the investigator delivered an outstanding performance on all fronts, but it was especially the main suspect who impressed me with a realistic portrayal of someone suspected of murder. The ending was surprising and quite powerful in certain moments. The French know their craft, there’s no doubt about it. I give it 75%. ()

Jerome (2019) (E03)

English A pretty solid start to this third installment, though it ended up disappointing me a bit. The case probably looked quite interesting on paper before being made into a film, but unfortunately, the execution failed to captivate me. However, the quality of the dialogue still keeps it above average, that’s for sure. I’m giving it 68%. ()
