One day in the life of a first-grader at a village school who is living on a farm with his family. Early every morning he has to look after his animals - puppies and a cow - before starting out to school in pitch-darkness. After a seemingly endless journey he reaches his destination. In the evening he gets home late, where he still has to do his homework. (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam)
