English I have a soft spot for Baltic cinema, so I was really looking forward to The Castle. From a dramatic perspective, it’s solid, but aside from the beautiful Irish setting, it felt like your typical European drama — a bit melancholic. You start to wonder, what were these Lithuanian women expecting in Ireland? Would they really be worse off in Lithuania? It’s not like it’s still the 80s or 90s, right? ()
