Hallucinations and historic reality cross paths in this desolating and disturbing film by Pedro Costa. It follows the story of Ventura, a migrant, whom, in the master piece, Juventude Em Marcha, is evicted from his house in the Lisbon suburbs and is relocated in a modern house complez. Horse Money takes up on his story, where he is now hospitalized, going between melancholy and madness, a portrait of hell, where specles and past episodes in Ventura's life and of the forgotten history of Portual happen in a hypnotic chiaroscuro that only Costa is capable of achieving.
