Finnegan, the world’s greatest demon-hunting Nekromancer turned bad, is the first to discover evil spirits inside the internet, taking the mythical battle between good and evil into the digital realm. Years later, down-on-his-luck sewerage-waste worker Howard North and Nekromancer sisters Molly and Torquel must destroy the plague of online demons and defeat the evil Finnegan before she can devour the souls of a million human beings addicted to their phones.
Nekrotronic is a mind-bending, genre-mashing, sci-fi action-packed comedy - funny, scary, thrilling and high octane, it is a cinematic roller-coaster which traverses the full spectrum of human (and inhuman) emotion. (Hopscotch Films)

English Many praised debut of the brothers Roache-Turner didn't sit well with me at all. Wyrmwood bored me extremely and annoyed me with its disgusting low-budget CGI gore. I understand that the creators worked with a small budget, but I simply can't stand modern low-budget splatter horror films because of those repulsive CGI effects. However, this brotherly duo slightly improved their reputation with me with Nekrotronic. The film clearly cost more money, and even though the visuals are still heavily computerized, they managed to make it acceptable for me. But what is the main improvement in their second feature film is definitely a more sophisticated and significantly more interesting story. While Wyrmwood is considered a mixture of Mad Max and Dawn of the Dead, Nekrotronic can be seen as a mix of Ghostbusters and Constantine. This time, unlike Wyrmwood, it's more of a pure horror comedy with several really cool moments and successful ideas, which made me enjoy those 99 minutes quite a bit. It's not a masterpiece, but it will certainly find its fans, although I think fans of Wyrmwood will be somewhat disappointed by Nekrotronic at the very least. An entertaining nonsense film worth watching once. ()

English I can never get in sync with Roache-Turner. The things that he finds funny and cool don’t seem clever, but rather childishly stupid to me. In technical terms, Nekrotronic is great. But could this topic possibly be made into a fun and at least somehow valuable movie in any way? Even Edgar Wright wouldn’t make it without retreating to Turner’s cheap and tasteless blending of inspirations from all sorts of genres. [Sitges FF] ()

English The idea of demon hunters, already operating over the Internet and who to keep up with the times and be able to attack people via their mobile phones, does not sound completely bad in and of itself. But it shouldn't take the form of an over-embellished B movie patchwork (albeit with an obviously decent budget and relatively high-quality tricks), inspired by both Ghostbusters and Pokémon Go, set in a world without rules in which virtually anything can happen. Yet it's seldom enough to make it really fun, funny, or thrilling. The characters are annoying, the actors average and the dialogues awkward. The film does include a few nice directing ideas in places, but they don’t overcome the overall impression from the completely flimsy workmanship. ()
